Hi Jacqui, Firstly I, along with many others, I’m certain, are thrilled with the new class additions to the schedule and the title changes of classes, ie. Beyond Bikram, which spur curiosity and continued interest for those of us who want to expand our practice. Additional and varied instructors along with shared bios of their diverse backgrounds also affirm that YogaSpa is consistently devoted to creating a unique experience for both newcomers and long-practicing enthusiasts. This is what makes YogaSpa different.A perfect example of this is my experience last evening at the newly added Wednesday evening Vinyasa Flow Class with Jhon, one of your new acquired yogis. He was simply fantastic. He guided us body, mind and spirit through a familiar yet “mixed-up” Vinyasa with some traditional sun salutations and then some really challenging but fun variations and combinations of poses and flows. Throughout the class he reminded us about focus, breath and how letting go in our minds will then transcend to our bodies and our practice. It was inspiring, exciting and invigorating. A winner!Lastly, I am grateful that I have had the pleasure of practicing yoga with you and all of your amazing instructors. Little did I know back in 2009, on the recommendation of a friend, (Tania) that this journey in yoga would completely transform my life, my body and my mind. The most powerful testimony is that, now, SIX YEARS LATER, YogaSpa was and still is paramount today to life and I would not be here today without the support from your staff guiding me in this spiritual practice.I am looking forward to classes with Sinda and of course will continue to accept peaceful guidance from all of you- Jacqui, Keith, Ani, Jill, (who I remember being next to before she became an instructor!), Helene, Renee and Jhon. There is no other yoga studio that delivers your unique brand of yoga instruction, while keeping in practice with the three-fold foundation of yoga; mind, body, spirit.I look forward to more..Thank you.Namaste~
Hello, My Aunt always says, “Money is to serve you.” This was an invaluable investment. To begin a new journey with such a gifted person as Jacqui, was truly a blessing. I feel amazing. Thank you taking the practice and all of us to the next level. I am forever grateful.
OMG! lf you want a transformational mind-body-spirit experience, join YogaSpa…ASAP! I hit the “yoga-jackpot” when eight months ago, in my late fifties, and a “yoga-newbie”, was introduced to the practice of hot Bikram at Yoga Spa. Owner-Director Jacqui Vernon and her amazing staff are phenomenally inviting, comforting, reassuring, perceptive, knowledgeable, and instructional! YogaSpa and its personnel, create, embody, and exude an atmosphere of kindness, friendliness, happiness, purposefulness, respect, and warmth (no pun intended☺). It personifies the ideal that “life is about the journey and not the destination”. I feel “at home” at YogaSpa, have grown in a myriad of ways during the last eight months, and am immensely grateful for the people and place that are YogaSpa!
Jacqui-it was sooo nice to be back in your studio yesterday! scheduling is a challenge not just because of work but distance. I remembered why I loved taking your classes when i walked out. you make other studios feel like kindergarten. Thank you for the ass kicking and the entertaining 90 minutes. I look forward to more (and will likely become a regular as soon as i can work out my scheduling kinks.) You look great, btw! seriously, timeless! hugs
Jacqui- I really enjoyed your slow burn class today in Saratoga. Wow!! You are and the class was amazing. Love, love, loved it. I just read your bio and see that you were a biotech patent litigator. I was a chemical patent practitioner (small world) until 2006 when the stress became too much (I guess). Although my body crashes sometimes, I have found yoga to be one of my mainstay healthy activities–and now I’m completely hooked on hot yoga. Thanks again for coming to Saratoga. It was wonderful.
Peace, Marty Boden.
I just wanted to thank you for all that your studio has done to help me achieve health and wellness. Since my beginnings with Bikram yoga, just a short while ago, I began attending class at least 4x a week. Within the last month, my clothes have become larger and larger – necessitating a whole new wardrobe!
While this is a reward, I must admit that the greatest pleasure is more internal and less visible. I am hooked on what the practice has done for me and my mental clarity and persistent knee injury (for which I had surgery and years of physical therapy). Recently someone asked me about my recurring knee pain and I answered which knee–I forget. That’s the truth.
Additionally, I recently redid my blood work and am awaiting the results – assured that my blood levels (for a recently diagnosed case of diabetes that I mange with lifestyle – including Bikram) have more than normalized too.
Once again thanks to all of you at YogaSpa, from all the great teachers and the front desk staff too. You really have helped transform my life. Can’t wait till the Rockland studio opens! At least then, I won’t have to conquer the bridge several times a week.Sarena Kopciel
I am very much enjoying classes at the YogaSpa and want to share with you an added benefit that I had not thought about.
I noticed that my clothing was fitting me differently – specially looser. I hadn’t changed anything else like diet or exercise, but I was losing weight. I had been at a plateau for a while and wasn’t sure what to do to effect a weight change. Yoga seems to be doing it. My family and friends have all noticed my weight change.
I am happy to continue my classes not only for spiritual harmony but for the physical changes as well.
Thank you.Lee Vogelstein
I am a newcomer to YogaSpa but I couldn’t be more enthusiastic. After my first class, I immediately purchased a monthly pass for myself, a gift certificate and have had a Thai massage with Elizabeth. Last night I took my first silent class with Jean. (Thursday). It was incredible. I felt I was able to access the “teacher” within during class. I felt like I was floating. There is no silence anywhere in our society. It’s a lost art and it’s so important. I think I really made progress in that class – Jean was fantastic to follow. Thank you for having such a wonderful all-around spa. I’ve been waiting for this for years!
